The Belize Zoo's 2023 Conservation Camp has finished. They hosted 25 Belizean youths this year, and they got to learn all about conservation and the local animals, along with seeing some of the sights. A huge thanks to all of the organizations that came together to offer this experience to the youths.

The Belize Zoo is having their 2022 Summer Camp from August 8th through the 12th.

How to apply: Belizean teenagers are invited to tell us about an environmental issue affecting your community, district, or Belize on a whole. Why is it important to you, and how would YOU go about solving it? (200-300 words). Space are limited so apply today!

The Belize Zoo's 24th annual Conservation Camp has finished.  The lucky kids had an amazing time.

"For the 24th year running, another super successful Conservation Camp was held last week at our Tropical Education Center. 21 bright young Belizeans joined us on an exciting adventure to explore and celebrate our country's natural heritage, and learn ways to become better stewards of it for years to come! TBZ would like to thank all our partners and colleagues who joined in to make last week such a memorable experience. And, of course, our campers and their parents/guardians who participated this year. We are already planning exciting new experiences for next year for the Silver Jubilee of 'Zoo Camp' at 25!"

The Belize Zoo is gearing up for their 23rd annual Conservation Camp.  Now is the time to apply because the camp will start on June 27th. 

"CONSERVATION CAMP 2016!: TBZ will once again be accepting young Belizeans join our Education team as we explore Belize's natural wonders through our week long conservation camp.  This will be the 23rd year of 'Zoo Camp.'  Special guest presentations, field trips, scientific studies and role play are just a few of the many activities planned this year.  The goal of Camp, as always,
is to foster conservation-minded attitudes in the next generation of stewards of our natural heritage.

June 27th to July 1st are the dates this year, so, parents, start applying!  Campers must be 12-17 years of age, and come prepared for 4 nights and 5 days of activities.  More info and registration forms can be requested from education@belizezoo.org, or outreach@belizezoo.org, or call the Zoo at 822-8000."

The Belize Zoo is getting ready for their 2017 Conservation Camp.  They are calling for essays from interested kids between the ages of 12 and 17.  Entries are needed by June 15th, as the camp starts on July 3rd.
