The Purple Movement had their one year anniversary last night at the Cayo Welcome Center.
"This vigil is in remembrance of Suzenne 'Purple' Martinez who was murdered heartlessly one year ago. It is also our intention to make it a solemn evening dedicated in remembrance and honour for other murder victims (special mention Jasmine Lowe) along with all other families who are suffering silently due to criminal injustices."

There is a peaceful demonstration going on all day today in Cayo in honor of Suzenne Martinez. Columbus park has had quite a few people there throughout the day. Patrick Jones has been covering the event.

The Purple Movement has a FB page you can like. Everyone can show their solidarity with the family and friends of Suzenne Purple Martinez. Come out to the peacefull demonstration tomorrow in Columbus Park. Cayo will be shut down tomorrow, and the Ignite the Peace Initiative will be happening from 8:00am until 1:00pm, with an all day peace rally.

They had a candlelight vigil for Suzenne Martinez this evening at Columbus Park. Thanks to Pandy for capturing the emotion of the event. There is talk that there will be another one early Monday morning. There will also be the 'Ignite the Peace Initiative' next Thursday.'
