Dance X Belize is having their Cayo performance event next Friday, November 29th, at the Octavia Waight Centre. Cayo's own Western Heat dancers will be there, as will Orquidea Negra. Tickets are available at Jem Travel and the SISE HoC.

Who will win it all? The Flor de la Feria pageant is tomorrow night at the Cancha Marshalleck, starting at 7:00pm. The Benque Marimba Academy will be playing, and Orquidea Negra will be performing, along with many others. The winner will represent Belize at the Miss Teen Americas, in El Salvador. "Our show will be a great one! With special performances from the Benque Viejo Marimba Academy, Orquedia Negra Dance Co., Grupo Folklorico Internacional San Juan De Dios From Peten, Guatemala, Belize Body Builders and the spectacular presentations by our candidates."

The Benque Festival of Culture starts this Friday with the Photography Exhibit at the Benque House of Culture, and goes through Monday. It'll continue next weekend too. There will be performances from the Benque Marimba Academy, Pablo Collado, and Orquidea Negra, just to name a few. Orquidea Negra is everywhere right now! They were at the Belize Archaeology and Antrhopology Symposium for their opening night. They'll be at Cancha Marshalleck tomorrow night for the Benque Noche Cultural. Great talent, excellent props, innovative dress, and cool dances.

The Bullet Tree Falls Corn Fest flier is out. This Friday and Saturday, come to Bullet Tree for fun, games, and dancing too. Friday evening is the Queen of the Corn pageant, followed by Orquidea Negra Dance Company, and then a disco with DJ Diamond. Saturday starts with the canoe race, then has a football quadrangular, and those are followed by a drinking contest, a pepper eating contest, marching bands, themed dances, a volleyball competition, and it also ends with a disco.

Benque's Festival of Culture continues this weekend, starting tomorrow night with poetry from Amado Chan. Saturday, Orquidea Negra will be performing, and on Sunday, Wagner Majus will be playing. Pictured are the Caracol YCD Stilt Walkers from last weekend.

Benque is having their Festival of Culture this month, starting on Friday the 15th, and going through Sunday the 24th, guaranteeing a fun time to everyone that goes. The Photography exhibition kicks it all off at the Benque House of Culture. Panerrifix will be there on the 16th, and on the 23rd, Orquidea Negra will be performing, with tons of other great performances in between. Check out the flier for all the great events.

Cayo's Easter Fair will be at the Victor Galvez stadium this Saturday and Sunday. The SISE Town Council has a great line up this year. There will be plenty of games, rides, food, and music, along with entertainment from Orquidea Negra, a marching band, and the Nu Generation Dance Company. Happy Easter!
