All Social Media Marketing Strategies Are Not the Same

All Social Media Marketing Strategies Are Not the Same | Digital Marketing Power | Scoop.it

The strategy of a Social Media campaign is different for a company with several thousand employees and a national audience than it is for a small local business. While the local business works to attract people from a limited area, large companies must think on a more global scale. The local business may rely on personal networking via referral groups, Chambers of Commerce and community organizations. Participation in social sites is often confined to a smaller audience of followers, who tend to live and work in the same geographic area. (However, as businesses grow, they may consider expanding their service area or even looking for online sales opportunities. Their participation in online social sites can act as a springboard to find a larger customer pool.) While national and international companies may use Social Media Marketing for the same purpose as smaller companies – to build relationships and obtain referrals – their overall strategy will not be the same. The business owner or operating officers may have no personal involvement in the Social Media Campaign or be involved in local face-to-face referral networks.

What Is The Big Question In Social Media Marketing Everyone Is Afraid to Ask?

What Is The Big Question In Social Media Marketing Everyone Is Afraid to Ask? | Digital Marketing Power | Scoop.it

The big question that is often asked about social media when it comes to investing money, resources and time is “what is the return on investment?”

Some pundits will say that is not the right question because it is like asking “what is the ROI on your phone?”. Others will say social media should stand up and be measured in its own right. The challenge though is that we live in a multi-channel marketing world and the path to your sales door for your product is not a straight path and easy to measure.

What is the Yin-Yang of Social Media Marketing?

What is the Yin-Yang of Social Media Marketing? | Digital Marketing Power | Scoop.it

Social Media marketing is a delicate balance of well-conceived content, interaction with your intended audience, clear objectives and careful measurement, all of which ultimately produce leads and sales.

Yin-Yang is a fundamental concept in Chinese philosophy where seemingly opposite or contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent on each other. These forces give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. The interaction between Yin and Yang establishes harmony and gives birth to things.

Mastering Social Media marketing depends very greatly on your ability to understand and capitalize on the power of these two forces in all that you do. Certain components lend themselves to one or the other but without each one working in tandem, your Social marketing will fail, one way or the other.

6 Things to Do Before You Delete Your Facebook Account

6 Things to Do Before You Delete Your Facebook Account | Digital Marketing Power | Scoop.it

You've probably thought about deleting your Facebook account before, but for one reason or another you've been unable to commit. Maybe you're applying for a job and don't want your future employer to see pics of you at college frat parties. Or maybe you just can't stand one more depressing status update.

If you're serious this time about deleting your Facebook account, escaping the social networking giant can be a lot more complicated than you would think. There are necessary steps you should take before pressing that delete account button.

Remember, deleting your account is very different from deactivating your account. You can deactivate your account at any point, and when you want to return everything is as you left it. While your account is deactivated, people on Facebook will not be able to search for you, but some information like messages you've sent may still be visible to others.

If you permanently delete your account, you will not be able to regain access to your account again, ever. Most personally identifiable information is removed from the Facebook database, but some may remain such as your name if you sent a message to someone else.

If you're planning to delete your Facebook account permanently, read on to learn about what steps you should take first.
