Elle a remplacé son classique tampon d’admission à l’entrée, par un QR code, qui ainsi a été tatoué sur le poignet de tous ses clients, lors de ses soirées.
En flashant ce code, les consommateurs pouvaient accéder à différents contenus selon l’heure qu’il était : des offres au bar au début, puis la possibilité d’appeler un taxi en fin de soirée et des conseils pour se remettre d’une soirée trop arrosée le lendemain.

You have probably seen them without realising it, a small black and white patchwork square in the corner of a movie poster or magazine advertisement.
Designed for use with a mobile phone application, the QR code utilizes mobile phone tagging software to link your phone to the corresponding website, video, image etc.
Once loaded on your phone the application works like taking a photo, you simply line up the pattern in the viewfinder and the QR software does the rest, linking your phone to the web address.

Some quick QR news in case you have not seen it already.. Google is now using QR technology in their Blogger admin panel.
As you can see in the photo, it is under the settings tab and then the email and mobile tab. Something tells me that the big G believes in QR Codes a little more than they are putting on :)

Simon on the Streets, une oeuvre de bienfaisance britannique, a utilisé, ce Noël, des QR codes pour lever des fonds. Beaucoup de personnes donnent des biens ou de l’argent directement aux sans abris qui l’utilisent malheureusement parfois pour acheter de la drogue ou de l’alcool.
Ces QR Codes ont été imprimés sur un simple carton et placés à côté de couvertures, de sacs à provisions et des bouteilles : des objets représentatifs d’une personne qui mendie.
Une fois flashé, le QR Code renvoie vers un JustGiving pour faire un don à Simon on the Streets. Une superbe initiative qui modernise la communication des œuvres de bienfaisance et renvoie le Téléthon à l’âge de pierre !

Wikipedia has chosen the Welsh town of Monmouth in the UK for a new project that will make use of QR codes. The project will be named Monmothpedia and aims to document the life of the entire town.
Several prominent locations, people and historic artifacts will be linked to a mobile Wikipedia page that can be accessed by scanning QR codes with a smart phone. Residents of the city will also take part in the project, as Wikipedia is tapping the populace for articles about life in the city.
