“So have been to 3 stores this past week, and noticed that all the airsoft gear, guns, BB’s, Masks, accessories, targets, ect ect were all moved to clearance along with all the real steel “tactical” gear like flip up sights, telescoping stocks, slings, flashlights and lasers. I knew walmart was going to stop selling AR-15 style guns and all modernized hunting rifles, but it looks like they might be doing the same to airsoft. In its place were just BB/Air guns and Kids bow sets.

“The first ever Airgun Steels and Airgun 3-Gun Match to be held in the Arkansas River Valley is being hosted by Umarex USA. The speed shooting match will take place on Saturday, May 9th beginning at 6:30 pm at Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. NOTE: Registration & entry starts at 5:30 p.m. and everyone who is competing should arrive no later than 6:00 p.m.

The Umarex Air Steels and 3-Gun Match are open to professional and amateur adult and youth shooters from age eight and up. The event is free to attend for the public. The event is similar to the Scholastic Steels and 3-Gun sports traditionally shot with firearms. Competitors can participate in the Airgun Steels or the Airsoft 3-Gun match or both for just $5. Time and hits will determine winners in divisions and classes defined by age and equipment used…..”

HK417 GBBR by VFC, licensed by Umarex. A great finish with all the correct markings, and a very very nice trigger feeling as well. Big bolt carrier (which feels light though), big magazine (which also feels kind of light compared to its size). Nice kick as well, even if it’s not scrip.

It’s a very nice gun to have in hands, and compared to other VFC GBBR I tried before the cool down resistance seems reasonnable enough. Not the best ever, but skirmishable enough. Out of the box, the performances aren’t incredible, but it’s probably possible to increase them with another hop up rubber and another inner barrel….”
